Terms of service
These terms govern your use of the Wickfeed data feed, the wf: identifier registry, and this website. By subscribing to the feed or using the registry you agree to them. Please read section 4 on the absence of investment advice and section 5 on accuracy, because they describe real limits on what this product is.
1. Who we are and what this is
Wickfeed is a data service that observes public sources relating to event contracts, computes its own analysis, and publishes the result as machine readable events. Wickfeed is operated by NPayload AI Inc. (operating entity and registered address: TO CONFIRM before publication).
The feed is distributed exclusively through the npayload platform. Your access to realtime events is governed both by these terms and by npayload’s own terms for the account and key you use.
2. What we provide, and what we do not
We provide our own derived analysis: an observation that a contract moved, a candidate cause where one was observed, and scores expressing relevance, novelty, attribution and reaction sizing.
We do not provide, resell, mirror or redistribute the order book, market data feed, or proprietary data of any trading venue. Where a source’s terms prohibit redistribution of its data, that source is not used as an input at all.
3. Your subscription
A subscription is granted to you for use within your own systems. Subscriptions are issued, metered and billed through npayload.
Unless you hold a written agreement with us that says otherwise, you may not:
- Redistribute, resell, sublicense or publish the feed or any substantial part of it to third parties.
- Present Wickfeed output to your own users or customers as a product or feature.
- Use the feed to build a substantially similar competing signal product.
- Share your key, or exceed the consumer count for your tier.
- Circumvent rate limits, or attempt to obtain realtime events other than through an authorised npayload subscription.
4. No investment advice
Wickfeed is data, not advice. Nothing we publish is a recommendation, solicitation or inducement to enter into any transaction, and nothing we publish should be treated as a prediction of any outcome.
The reaction field expresses how a move compares to historical analogues. It is an observation about the past, not a forecast, and it is explicitly not a suggestion to trade.
You are solely responsible for every decision made by you or by any system you operate, including automated systems consuming this feed. Event contracts can result in the total loss of the amount at stake. Their availability and legality vary by jurisdiction, and it is your responsibility to determine whether your activity is lawful where you are.
5. Accuracy, availability and the limits of the analysis
The feed is provided on an as is and as available basis. We make no warranty that it is accurate, complete, uninterrupted, timely, or fit for any particular purpose.
Our analysis is probabilistic and will sometimes be wrong. We publish a driver of unknown when we cannot explain a move, and we publish our own miss rate. Neither of those practices is a warranty that any particular event is correct.
Sources can go down, change their terms, rate limit us, or alter their data without notice. We record gaps rather than interpolate over them. Standard tiers do not carry a service level commitment; a negotiated service level is available only under a separate written agreement.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary loss, nor for lost profits, lost trading opportunity, trading losses, or loss of data, arising from your use of or inability to use the feed.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
7. The identifier registry
The wf: identifier registry is published free of charge under a permissive licence, and using it does not require a subscription. Identifiers are permanent and are never reused for a different question.
Venue mappings in the registry are reference metadata: a venue name, that venue’s own reference for a contract, and a public URL. They contain no price, size or book depth, and must not be represented as market data from any venue.
8. Intellectual property
The scores, classifications, verdicts, schema and archive we produce are our work product and remain our property. Your subscription grants you a right to use them within your own systems, not ownership of them.
Facts we observe from public sources are not claimed as our property. Our analysis of them is.
9. Changes to the feed and to these terms
The event envelope is versioned additively. We may add fields, event types, books, venues, sources and enum values without a version bump, and your systems must tolerate values they do not recognise. We will not remove a published field or change its meaning within a version.
We may update these terms. If a change is material we will give notice before it takes effect. Continuing to use the feed after that date means you accept the updated terms.
10. Suspension and termination
You may cancel at any time through npayload. We may suspend or terminate access where these terms are breached, where use threatens the stability of the service, or where a source requires it.
On termination your right to use the feed ends. Events you already received and stored remain yours to keep, subject to the redistribution restrictions in section 3.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operating entity is incorporated, and the courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. (Governing jurisdiction: TO CONFIRM before publication.)
